Dear
Giselle:
"We
are Here for a Purpose: HOW TO FIND YOURS" came into my life
at the perfect time. I'm convinced there was a higher power at work!
Your
book pushed me to contemplate more clearly than I ever have before
the questions that nag at all of us from time to time. Am I happy?
Am I doing what I really want to do? Am I making a difference in
other peoples' lives? Can I change?
The
assignments made me think about the right things and ensured a quiet,
contemplative approach that I found to be extremely valuable.
With
the help of this little purple book, I came to these findings.
1) While I'm basically a happy soul, I could be happier and more
fulfilled.
2) While I liked what I was doing, I was bored both personally and
professionally.
3) I decided I could make more difference in my life, in the lives
of my daughters, my husband and other family members and in the
business world that I impact.
4) I knew I could change if I just got on with it.
Sharing
specifics about the changes I made isn't important ... whether it
was a job change, a physical move, taking up yoga or whatever -
that's not the point. The point is that I did it and this book was
the tipping point.
Thank
you!

Dear Giselle
Writing you at this very moment feels incredibly well-timed on my path
and in some way, like a sacred moment.
For several years, I have been reading, carrying, dog-earing,
underlining and highlighting excerpts from your book with the
realization that your words and the wisdom of your father were in fact,
sacred. I knew you were sharing truth from the moment I started
reading.
I have done the exercises, reviewed the answers overtime, and now find
myself at an important cross road in my life. Every concept in the book
is now looking at me straight in the eye, as if I am on the edge of a
diving board, and I am being asked to ‘jump’ ... the framework in which
you present your guidance resonates with me at this time.
From my spiritual virtue to my authenticity, I am struggling with old
fears, old habits that I KNOW are preventing me from aligning with my
purpose ... I feel so ready to create and commit to the changes needed
to help me advance on my path ... I feel blessed to be able to send you
this email. Thank you so much.

Giselle
shares her inspirational story with the reader in a compelling voice.
Her exercises on how to determine your own purpose are simple to
follow and easily executed and result in a greater awareness of
who you are and why you are here. This is a brave and revealing
book that is both satisfying and stimulating. I have recommended
this book to people who are searching for a way to understand and
realize their own purpose.

Hi,
Giselle -
It
was wonderful to hear your voice on Mike Murphy's radio show yesterday!
I know you've heard this before, but you have the most soothing,
calming voice that just radiates peace! I really enjoyed hearing
you on the radio.
I
don't know whether you remember, but I contacted you after your
last Mike Murphy show regarding my living situation with my father.
I'm the KC Star Newspaper writer who works out of my home. I live
with my husband, 11-year-old son and father. We purchased my parents'
home after my mother's death in April 2002 and my Dad has continued
living with us.
I
just thought I would update you. After you told me that my Dad had
no plans to move out for some time (and I've been very unhappy with
our living situation), I had a talk with my Dad in August. He agreed
that the living situation wasn't that great and bought a condominimum
about 15 minutes away from our house. He is moving the end of Sept.
I
wanted to thank you for your insight. It's helped me to survive
the past months and gave me the courage to have "the talk"
with him.
I
hope you continue your wonderful mission of helping people. I purchased
your book, read it and shared it with two friends, who both enjoyed
it immensely.
Best
wishes -

Eighteen
months ago, Giselle Massi didn't know who I was.
Today,
she is my most trusted adviser.
Even
now, I've spent time with Giselle in person on just three separate
occasions. Yet, from the moment I contacted her (upon the suggestion
of a mutual friend) Giselle has remained a constant presence in
my life.
She
called me minutes after I first e-mailed her. And she's called or
e-mailed me almost weekly since to ensure I did what I was supposed
to be doing, such as cultivating my job-search network; to provide
insight on negotiating that process professionally; and to see,
simply, how I was doing.
Like
a coach who has the ability to recognize which athletes possess
the potential, are willing to do the work and have the desire to
improve, Giselle chooses to nurture only those she knows are ready
to accept her challenges.
The
reason I know this is because I asked Giselle directly, more than
once, "Why do you spend so much of your time helping me when you
don't even know me?"
Each
time, she used different words to express the same idea: Because
you are worth it.
Her
answers revealed a fundamental tenet of Giselle's service to others:
She does not waste time -- yours, or hers. If you are fortunate
enough to have the opportunity to learn from Giselle, you must listen.
More importantly, you must at least try to implement what she says.
Giselle
does not steer people wrong. She does not give useless advice. She
tells it straight and leaves it up to you whether you want to live
the life you envision.
Through
my apprenticeship with Giselle, I have made great strides in actually
becoming the man I already was. To paraphrase The Buddha, with Giselle,
you are always at the beginning; you are always in a state of becoming.
Unlike
some mentors that humankind has looked to for divine balance --
such as the Dalai Lama -- Giselle does not advocate what amounts
to a withdrawal from the world. Nor does she speak in koans or riddles.
Giselle will not give you suggestions that you cannot implement
in your daily "real" life.
For
this specific reason, she has become the person I most listen to
among all others. Giselle "gets" it. Her wisdom is at once spiritual
-- and eminently practical.
A
year and a half ago, I was struggling to find a new job, to feel
good about who I am and to recognize that the life I wanted was
within my grasp.
Today,
I have a different and excellent job. I have become the man I know
myself to be. And, I live my life by making decisions based on the
highest levels of self-respect, inner-strength and empowerment.
At
times, the process to come to this point has felt uncomfortable.
Giselle demanded that I do or say certain things that did not feel
natural, even out of character. Ultimately, however, I've become
aware that Giselle has been merely urging me to act on what my instincts
have always been telling me. By doing so, I have added value to
who I am -- and to those around me.
For
most of my 35 years, I've been afraid to become a powerful being.
I've been fearful to use that power authoritatively -- to be benevolent,
kind and compassionate.
Yet,
due to Giselle's vision, I have finally -- even within the last
few weeks -- improved my ability to relate to those in my family,
those at my workplace and those in romance.
The
answers, I finally realized, are always plain. It's just that our
socialization often prevents us from acting on what we know to be
true.
If
you choose to accept Giselle's invitation, you, and I, will ultimately
achieve what all authentic teachers wish for their students: the
day to arrive when we no longer seek their input; we simply do what
we already know is right.
Giselle
Massi is that type of teacher.

My
name is Michele Jones. We met at Borders Book Store in Overland
Park, KS back May. My mother had sent me because I had some health
problems that many DR could not diagnose.
I'm
not sure if you remember me. Nor am I sure it matters. However,
I wanted to be sure to thank you for your time.
I
went back to my Dr. and shared with her the info you & your father
had given me ("Blood disorder"). She went on to do more blood work
& has discovered that I have Hypoglycemia. The opposite of Diabetes.
I now eat a small snack high in protein every 2-3 hours and am feeling
so much better. Most of my symptoms have dissipated. The others
I can live with.
I
now can get out of bed & care for my three children; ages 9, 7 &
3 1/2. Thank you so much for meeting with me. Let me know if there
is anything I can do to return the favor.
I
have shared your book with many friends. My next step is to follow
the steps set out by your father in the back.
Hope
all is well with you & yours. Know that I will keep you in my prayers.
You are doing really great things. Thank you so much. You have made
such a difference in my life. Just wanted to be sure you knew that.
Thank your father too for me. :) :) :)

About 2 years ago, I heard Giselle on a local radio show. After listening to
her and her comments to the callers, I knew I had to meet her. That afternoon
I met her. She was expecting me. I read her book that night. It sparked a 2
year journey to find my purpose. I wanted to help students in some way and
wanted to become a teacher. I remember Giselle saying last year, "When you are
ready, the job will be there." Next month, I begin a new career as a school
counselor.
Life is like putting together a jigsaw puzzle. You complete large sections
of if it in short amounts of time. Sometimes you look for hours and days to
find the next piece. And sometimes someone comes along and immediately finds the
next piece. This piece triggers the next part of the puzzle.
Thank you Giselle for helping with my puzzle.
